These are the best OW custom game codes for Overwatch right now. Each one is a five-character Workshop code that loads a complete community-made mode, from aim trainers and 1v1 arenas to Gun Game and a full game of UNO. Tap Copy next to a code, then import it from the Custom Games menu.

Thousands of Workshop codes exist, and many lists are full of codes that no longer load. The first table holds codes that several guides agree on. The second holds codes listed by only one guide, which are worth trying but not confirmed.

Expired codes

No code on this page has been reported as broken. Workshop codes stop working when the creator deletes them or a game update breaks the script, and we will move any code that fails here.

How to import OW custom game codes

  1. Launch Overwatch and select Play from the main menu.
  2. Open Custom Games, then choose Create to start your own lobby.
  3. Open Settings in the lobby and choose Import Code.
  4. Paste the five-character code and confirm with OK.
  5. Start the game. You can play alone, invite friends, or fill the lobby with bots, depending on the mode.

Importing a code replaces the lobby's current settings with the creator's, so import it into a fresh lobby rather than one you have set up by hand.

Copy codes exactly. Similar characters such as 0 and O or 1 and I are easy to mix up when typing.

Best codes for aim training

Aim trainers are the most popular reason to use OW custom game codes. VAXTA is an aim training warm-up, a good routine before you queue for competitive. JPYHG loads the ioStux DPO aim trainer, one of the best-known aim trainers in the Workshop.

Run a trainer for ten minutes before you play rather than for an hour once a week. Short, regular sessions build consistency better than long ones.

Best codes for 1v1s

1v1 codes put you against a single opponent, so every duel shows you exactly what you did wrong. TXCXX loads a general 1v1 arena, and PYDEY is a Widowmaker 1v1 mode for sniper practice. Invite a friend at your level for the best practice, or join a public lobby through the Custom Games browser.

Best codes for fun modes

Not every Workshop code is for practice. PHCQ1 is Gun Game with no cooldowns, where each kill moves you to a new hero, which is a fun way to try heroes you never play. W7XAX recreates the card game UNO inside Overwatch, which shows how far the Workshop scripting tools can go.

What OW custom game codes are

Overwatch's Workshop lets players write scripts that change how the game works: new rules, new objectives, new scoring, even entirely new games. When a creator shares a mode, the game gives it a short code. Anyone can import that code to load the exact same mode in their own custom lobby.

That is all an OW custom game code is: a shortcut to someone else's lobby settings and scripts. Codes do not unlock skins, currency or anything for your account, because they only run inside custom games.

Why a code is not working

If a code fails to import or the mode does not run properly, check these things:

  • Typo: codes are five characters, and 0 and O or 1 and I are easy to confuse. Copy the code instead of typing it.
  • Deleted code: creators can remove or replace their codes. If the import fails, the code is probably gone.
  • Game update: an Overwatch update can break the Workshop script behind a mode. Creators often publish a new code afterwards.
  • Wrong menu: codes are imported from Settings inside a lobby you created, not from the Custom Games browser.

About Overwatch

Overwatch is Blizzard Entertainment's team-based hero shooter, available on PC and consoles. It launched as Overwatch 2 and returned to the name Overwatch in February 2026. The Workshop and custom games are part of the free-to-play game, so every player can use Workshop codes.

A 15-minute practice routine with these codes

If you want to use OW custom game codes to actually improve, a short routine works better than random sessions:

  • Minutes 1 to 5: load VAXTA and warm up your aim.
  • Minutes 5 to 10: switch to the ioStux DPO trainer, JPYHG, and focus on the hero you play most.
  • Minutes 10 to 15: play a few duels in the TXCXX 1v1 arena, or PYDEY if you play Widowmaker.

Then queue for a real match while you are warmed up. On days when you just want to have fun, swap the routine for Gun Game (PHCQ1) or a round of UNO (W7XAX) with friends.

Playing custom codes with friends

Every mode on this page runs in a lobby you create, so you decide who joins. Import the code, then invite your friends to the lobby before you start. That makes 1v1 arenas and party modes like UNO easy to set up for a group, without relying on strangers in the Custom Games browser.

How we check this page

We check OW custom game codes by hand. A code goes into the main table only when at least two independent sources agree on it, or when it comes straight from the official game description or rules. Codes that only one source reports, or that sources disagree on, are kept in a separate unconfirmed table, so you can still try them without mistaking them for confirmed codes. A code moves to the expired list once it is reported as no longer working.

This page was last checked on October 20, 2026. We never make up codes or rewards, and we keep a list of the sources behind every code. If something on this page no longer matches what you see in the game, tell us with the Feedback button and we will check it again.

Every code is listed exactly the way the game expects it, with the same capital letters, numbers and symbols, so the safest way to enter one is the Copy button next to it rather than typing it by hand. A code that turns out to be wrong is moved to the right table, never silently deleted.

OW custom game codes FAQ

What are the best OW custom game codes?

For aim training, try VAXTA or the ioStux DPO trainer JPYHG. For 1v1s, use TXCXX or the Widowmaker 1v1 PYDEY. For fun, try PHCQ1 for Gun Game or W7XAX for UNO.

How do I import a custom game code in Overwatch?

Select Play, open Custom Games and choose Create. In the lobby, open Settings, choose Import Code, paste the code and press OK.

Do custom game codes give rewards?

No. A custom game code only loads a Workshop mode in your lobby. It does not unlock skins, currency or anything for your account.

Why does a code not import?

Either it was typed wrong or the creator deleted it. Copy the code exactly, and if it still fails, try another code from the list.

Are these the same as Overwatch 2 codes?

Yes. Overwatch 2 was renamed back to Overwatch in February 2026, and Workshop codes work the same way under both names.

Can I play custom game codes alone?

Yes. You create the lobby, so you can play many modes on your own, such as the aim trainers, or invite friends for 1v1s and party modes.
